GIANT IDEAS MAKES A STAND AGAINST GENOCIDE
PITTSBURGH, PA – August, 2007 – Giant Ideas is honored to announce a new partnership with STAND, A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition, based in Washington, DC. The partnership will begin with the creation of two important projects that will help STAND explain their mission and empower their membership to help end the threat of Genocide worldwide.
“But we are certainly looking at this as a long-term relationship,” said Bryan Ward, CEO of Giant Ideas, “in which Giant Ideas can be of assistance, through the power of marketing and branding, to help bring STAND’s unique organization and message to a wider audience.”
STAND, which is the student division of the Genocide Intervention Network, is an entirely student run organization comprised of over 700 chapters from the United States and around the world. Originally formed to end the Genocide in Darfur, STAND now works to empower students as lobbyists and advocates against Genocide everywhere. Each chapter is independently organized by students in a grassroots effort that has seen tremendous growth and results since 2004.
“We are very excited about working with Giant Ideas,” said Janessa Goldbeck, an Associate with STAND National in Washington. “We’ve been looking for an agency partner that shares our vision of ending Genocide in our lifetime. Everyone at Giant has been very enthusiastic about our mission.”
