GIANT IDEAS GETS IN THE RED ZONE FOR HEINZ
PITTSBURGH, PA – August, 2007 – A new NFL season means football parties, tailgating and family get-togethers that require lots of Heinz products. That’s the thinking behind the Heinz Red Zone promotion, now in its fourth successful season, combining football and Heinz products. For four years Giant Ideas has worked with Heinz to create this extremely effective sports promotional campaign.
“The Heinz Red Zone is a natural,” said Stan Muschweck, President of Giant Ideas, “and has become a proven winner for everyone involved. This season the Heinz Red Zone will be running in the Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Baltimore, Cincinnati and New York markets.”
Whenever the home team enters “The Heinz Red Zone”, the twenty yard line, both television and radio announcers reveal that the team has entered the Heinz Red Zone and promotional commercials featuring that week’s Heinz products available at local retailers run during the next commercial break. It is a unique combination of national advertiser, the NFL, media and local retailers that has proven to be so successful during the last four seasons.
Giant Ideas created this year’s campaign that features H.J. Heinz CEO Bill Johnson on the field with a football team dressed in Heinz colors. The commercial will be used throughout the season and updated for each market on a weekly basis.
